Child Day Care is a partnership between the state, parents, and child care professionals.
The Cambria County Child Development Corporation is a private, not for profit child care provider chartered in 1972. The agency is funded in part through federal, state, and local sources. In the past 26 years, the Corporation has laid the ground work for projects that serve children and their families.
In 1972 the agency was designated as a Local Management Agency by the Cambria County Commissioners and in 1998, Child Care Information Services assumed the responsibilities of providing services to Cambria County. The agency offers parents a comprehensive unbiased selection of available child day care facilities and providers.
The administrative component includes the determination of eligibility for all children seeking subsidized child day care and the authorization of service, the management of a waiting list for subsidized child day care, the management of an informative system, and the management of a payment system for providers participating in the delivery of subsidized child day care services.
